Fall 2017 Season & Upcoming Summer Slam Tournament

If this is your first email from me, welcome to the team! I'm coach Ben Yung. I've been coaching CWSA Soccer for about 10 years and I have my National Soccer E and F Licenses. Most of the boys on our team are from a team I coached for 7 years, the Red Barons, and last Winter the team became the Archangels. We've got a great group of boys and parents and we're excited that you've joined us!

Team - Our regular season games start the beginning of September and we're going to start practicing next week, Monday and Thursday, at 7pm, at Goot Park. This won't be our normal practice times, I just want to get a few practices in prior to our upcoming tournament. I had actually planned to start with at least one practice this week but it's way too hot out there, even if we were to practice late in the evening.

Upcoming Tournament - I just got our new roster, so if this is your first email and you're just hearing about the tournament, I apologize. I had to fight to get our roster early and this is the earliest I could get it from the league. We'll be playing in the Summer Slam Tournament, here in Vancouver, WA, on August 25, 26, and possibly the 27th. We are in need of additional players, so I'm hoping our new players will join in on the fun. It's going to be a blast! If your son can attend, please reach out to me, ASAP. The cost is $50.00 per player and I think we're guaranteed at least 3 games.

I'll follow up with more information soon. I just wanted to get this initial email out, so everyone knows what's going on. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next Monday, if not sooner.

PS - I'm still waiting on checks for some of the boys. I got us registered for the tournament today but I'm hoping to get reimbursed soon. :-)
